Psychotherapy and Counselling
During psychotherapy, you learn about your condition and your moods, feelings, thoughts and behaviors. Psychotherapy helps you learn how to take control of your life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills.
There are many types of psychotherapy, each with its own approach. The type of psychotherapy that's right for you depends on your individual situation. Psychotherapy is also known as talk therapy, counseling, psychosocial therapy or, simply, therapy.
Chris Hnain
Chris is a registered Certified Canadian Counsellor with CCPA (Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association), and has a Masters in Clinical Counselling. He has 10 years of counselling experience and is trained in evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and aspects of Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). Chris also is experienced with Motivational Interviewing (MI) as well as uses mindfulness strategies.
At the heart of Chris’ work is collaboration, empathy and compassion, and aims to support clients through a client-focused lens to help clients achieve long-lasting positive change.

Pawel’s previous work background includes diverse training and clinical experiences in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. He has also worked in schools, teaching at the College level, community mental health programs, daycares, sports camps and through wellness seminars and conferences.

Leila focuses in offering support and guidance to some of us who are struggling with diagnosed or undiagnosed conditions such as anxiety disorders (panic, social anxiety, phobia, generalized anxiety), depression, trauma, and stress (Post Traumatic Stress-PTSD, flashback, nightmares), borderline, or bipolar disorder.
